A tale of two shrugs
During the Easter weekend I decided to finish crocheting
a shrug designed by Cécile Franconie. However, when I took out the piece I had
started on some time ago, my cat Siri was of a different opinion, as she
smelled the lanolin in the Holst yarn! So, there was nothing else to do but to
finish the piece as a blanket to go under a cat. Moreover, my daughter got a sudden idea for
a jacket and pinched all the Holst balls in murky colours…
Not giving up, I decided to have another go at
a shrug, and this time I sought
inspiration in the colours used by the inhabitants of the island of Muhu in
Estonia: reds next to pinks next to oranges…. and here’s the result!
